Clinical Base
PUMS owns a network of 6 clinical hospitals in the city of Poznan as a base for its clinical and research activity. With a total of 2,200 beds, these institutions are open to the public, serving the local community.
Students of all programs have their clinical rotations in active wards of all specialties, seeing patients every day. The hospitals have at their disposal the equipment, know-how and infrastructure on a par with what is available in top quality clinical centers around the world.

The University also provides palliative care within its Palium Hospice. This clinical unit, founded and administered by Prof. Jacek Luczak, recipient of the European Citizen’s Prize awarded by the European Parliament, is the home of our first-in-Europe university Department of Palliative Care, where the students learn about pain medicine, geriatrics and palliative medicine.
The University Center for Dentistry and Specialized Medicine, located in Collegium Stomatologicum at 70 Bukowska St. in Poznan, is a public outpatient dental clinic. It provides students with the opportunity to practice dental procedures hands-on with actual patients from the early stages of their training at PUMS.
